Check back for updates throughout Bioeconomy Ireland Week! \nThe maps were produced by Teagasc\, in collaboration with the Department of Agriculture\,\nFood and Marine (DAFM)\, IT Tralee\, Trinity College Dublin\, University College Dublin\, the\nIrish Bioeconomy Foundation\, BiOrbic and the Bord Iascaigh Mhara\, directly address one of\nthe key actions identified in the National Bioeconomy Policy Statement which is to highlight\nits relevance for a wide range of stakeholders across many sectors.

SUMMARY:Agricultural Consultants Association Roadshow: Preparing for the next CAP
DESCRIPTION:The Agricultural Consultants Association (ACA) provide farm advice to 55\,000 Irish farmer clients.  They\nhave 270 professional advisors including 11 forestry consultants with a network of 161 offices throughout\nIreland.  The ACA will hold a members roadshow to help the private agricultural advisory community\nprepare for the next Common Agricultural Policy reform that is underway at present.  The CAP reform\ncontains a specific objective to promote employment\, growth\, social inclusion and local development in\nrural areas\, including bio-economy and sustainable forestry.  It also contains a cross-cutting objective of\nmodernising the agri-food sector by the fostering and sharing of knowledge\, innovation and digitalisation\nin agriculture and rural areas and encouraging their uptake.  At the ACA roadshow during Bioeconomy\nIreland Week 2020 Patrick Barrett\, Agricultural Inspector\, Department of Agriculture\, Food and the\nMarine with responsibilities in relation to bioeconomy\, AKIS & Agri-Digitalisation will present an overview\non Agri-digitalisation\, the circular bioeconomy and the role of Agricultural Knowledge & Innovation\nSystems (AKIS) in a modern farming era to ACA members.

The Climate Press would like to invite you to a special\, live online event with 3 very special guests: Professor Paul Chatterton (University of Leeds)\, Ergon Theatre Company (Manchester) and Zero Waste Leeds. We will discuss local community initiatives taking action against climate change from the perspective of sustainable city planning\, performing arts\, and fashion consumption. Collective action to face the current climate emergency has proven invaluable in recent times\, and there are many local initiatives within everyone’s reach. Our guests will discuss their motivation\, work and challenges and will take questions from the audience.
