Check back for updates throughout Bioeconomy Ireland Week! \nThe maps were produced by Teagasc\, in collaboration with the Department of Agriculture\,\nFood and Marine (DAFM)\, IT Tralee\, Trinity College Dublin\, University College Dublin\, the\nIrish Bioeconomy Foundation\, BiOrbic and the Bord Iascaigh Mhara\, directly address one of\nthe key actions identified in the National Bioeconomy Policy Statement which is to highlight\nits relevance for a wide range of stakeholders across many sectors.

DESCRIPTION:As part of Bio-Economy Week Ireland 2020\, Bord Iascaigh Mhara (BIM)\, Ireland’s Seafood Development Agency\, invites you to attend a webinar on Friday 23 October to launch its bio-refinery report\, ‘Scoping a seaweed bio-refinery concept for Ireland’.\nThe event is being chaired by David Millard (BIM) and speakers include co-authors of the report Sarah Hotchkiss and Ross Campbell (Cybercolloids). \nThe report\, commissioned by BIM in late 2019\, and supported by the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund\, highlights the potential to increase the value of Irish seaweed by focusing on its use as an ingredient at the whole-sale level for food\, pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries. \nThe event will conclude with a Q & A session. \nRegistration and agenda for this webinar to follow. \n  \n
