DESCRIPTION:Bioeconomy Ireland Week 2019 placed a spotlight on Ireland’s Bioeconomy through a series of events and activities led by the Department of Agriculture\, Food & Marine and the Department of Communications\, Climate Action & Environment. The events are in collaboration with Bioeconomy leaders including Beacon SFI Bioeconomy Research Centre\, Irish Bioeconomy Foundation and the BioConnect Regional Cluster based in Monaghan. Bioeconomy Ireland Week 2019 took place across Ireland between Friday 11 October – Friday 18 October 2019.

SUMMARY:Bioeconomy Ireland Day 2018
DESCRIPTION:The first Bioeconomy Ireland Day took place on the 19th of October 2018 at the new National Bioeconomy Campus in Lisheen\, Co. Tipperary. The event brought together stakeholders and\nleaders from industry\, research & innovation and policy engaged in bioeconomy opportunities.  It involved the launch of the BIORBIC SFI Bioeconomy Research Centre and the Irish Bioeconomy Foundation\, significant milestones in Ireland’s bioeconomy development. Participants on the day engaged in a panel discussion and around table workshop exploring industry perspectives\, opportunities and challenges for Ireland’s bioeconomy.
