During this session, we will engage with representatives from companies, key experts and investors to explore available funding instruments as well as the challenges and gaps for scaling innovation. Discussions will focus on how to achieve better alignment between companies and investors. Three bio-economy relevant companies will share their experiences in securing finance and discuss what enabled them to secure scaling funding and where they faced challenges. Additionally, investors active in the field will provide insights into their funding instruments, and what they look for in companies. This event will be followed subsequently by live online pitching sessions for bio-businesses to enhance successful matches and exposure (organised by IBF).
