OGT’s Seaweed Processing Plant in Kilcar, Donegal
Oilean Glas Teoranta (OGT) was established in 2004. The company harvests seaweed in Donegal and Mayo, the seaweed is then processed into specialty products for the global crop nutrition and animal feed markets. Today OGT is a consolidated company with a team of professionals, operating in Europe and North America. In 2014, the company was acquired by Tradecorp in Spain. The presentation will outline the company with a virtual tour of the operations in Donegal.

From its beginnings as a bioethanol producer in 2012, the refinery has almost tripled in size and developed into a multiproduct facility. Today, nutrition, health, biochemical and fuel bioproducts are manufactured as alternatives to fossil materials. The biorefinery is the largest single site bioethanol plant in Europe.
